SAIL Amsterdam has started today! The most unique way to watch the magnificent fleet arrive is of course by boat, with a glass of bubbles and friends. But what to do if you have have missed that boat? Do not worry, we know the 5 hotspots from where to watch SAIL Amsterdam from the mainland.

5 SAIL Amsterdam hotspots

>> Pllek, a relaxt and beach like atmosphere offers one of the best panoramic views of the IJ river. A small fact you probably didn’t know, Pllek is home to Amsterdam’s largest disco ball at night and don’t forget to check out their SAIL outdoor cinema schedule.

>> Fireworks at the IJ, traditionally each SAIL day ends with a breath taking fireworks show after the music performances at the SAIL Music Marina around 22:30. For the best view of the show, make sure to find a spot on the south side of the IJ (Java island).

>> Hanneke’s boom opened in 2011 so it will be the first time that this historic location will be opened during SAIL Amsterdam to enjoy the magnificent views of the IJ.

>> EYE and ADAM Tower, The eye museum and the soon to be opened hotspot ADAM Tower provide spectacular views of the SAIL fleet. Don’t forget to also check out their musical and film line-up online.

>> Tosti Creative’s Floating Bar, five days of music, Tiger beer, live art, pingpongshows and schorpionfighting. The people behind Disco dolly, Super Social, 22tracks, Klear and Deep House Amsterdam will make sure to entertain you Asian style at the Oosterdokskade during SAIL with a different programming every day.
